So here we're going to open up our software, go to sports,

and then you're going to pick sport.

I'll go ahead and choose basketball here and we'll go and select D1

college basketball.

You can select your team.

I'm going to pick Santa Clara because that's my alma mater.

And then you can select your year.

We'll do last year to make sure that all the stats are filled

in since I'm recording this on August the 25th.

So I'll go ahead and click run.

This is going to load in all of our data for basketball

for Santa Clara.

And then you go ahead and click Open Excel.

What that's going to do is it's going to open up this Excel

file here for you and what you're going to see is your spotting

board. So up here in the top left,

team name with the color of the school and then here's some

records, splits home away, last 10 games,

last game, what happened, if they have a next game,

it'll tell you who the opponent is as well.

Here you have the stadium and then the head coach along

Again, head coach, how many years they've been with the school and as

And then same thing, their record with the school that they're at and

On the left side of this parenthesis you'll have overall stats and

then in parenthesis it'll be conference.

And then here, same thing, national ranking and then conference

Come down and look at one of these player boxes.

You'll have number, name,

all the where they're from, kind of biographic

data, height, weight, position, etc.

If you see parentheses, that means,

for example, Allen Graves is third in points on Santa Clara.

If there was a little dash there and then another number, it would

tell you what ranking he is nationally.

And then you come over here and you can see what their last

game was, what the day was, who they played,

where it was, and what the stats are

for that player.

And then in the bottom box you have their career highs in points,

rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals along with

free throws and three-pointers made.

So this applies for the top 10 players on the list

and then you'll have an extra one,

three, four spots for up to a 14-man roster where you can

add players.

Here Santa Clara in 25-26 only had 12 players

which is why there's nothing in this right box and then this gives

you space as well to write in notes for each of these players.

Come down here on the right you're going to see your standings for

the conference and then that's going to include a conference record,

overall record,

On the left, you'll see the schedule for the team.

It'll give you the date and time, what kind of game it was.

So if I scroll down here, you can see it also counts conference

tournament or NCAA games.

It'll tell you what the opponent is, the score

of the game, and color code based on if they won or lost,

the record with their winning streak at the time,

and the arena that it was played in.

And just so you can see here this does also work for overtime

it'll tell you if it goes to overtime it'll tell you if it

goes to multiple overtimes keep scrolling down here we can look back

at the right you get all the team season highs sometimes they're bad

so that's why turnovers highlighted red and then team season lows

sometimes they're good that's why it's green here instead of red all

over here come back to the left side look at the streaks and

splits section I'm not going to take too long to explain this but

basically you look at this this tells you what the record is so

for example this year I'm calling a Santa Clara game the last game

they scored over 90 points against Oregon State so I

can quickly say oh that was the 10th time they scored 90 points

in a game and they're 9-0 I guess at the time now

Same thing record here with games decided by X amount of possessions

and then these are points by period.
